Overview
Hire4Real.fyi is a ghost job detection tool for job seekers. This policy describes what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. We are committed to collecting only what we need and never selling your data.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account or join the waitlist, we collect your email address. We use Google OAuth for authentication — we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.
Scan Data
When you scan a job posting, we receive the job URL, platform (LinkedIn or Indeed), job title, company name, salary text (if present), posting age, and the job description text. This data is used to compute the Ghost Score and is stored in your scan history. We may use aggregated, anonymized scan data to improve scoring accuracy.
Usage Data
We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser user-agent strings, and pages visited. This data is retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes and is not used for advertising.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide Ghost Score results and maintain your scan history
- To send transactional emails (account setup, billing receipts)
- To improve the Ghost Score algorithm using aggregated, anonymized patterns
- To prevent abuse, enforce rate limits, and maintain security
What We Do NOT Do
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties
- We do not set advertising or tracking cookies
- We do not share your scan history with employers or job boards
- We do not use your data for targeted advertising
Cookies
We use a single HTTP-only, Secure, SameSite=Lax session cookie for authentication. This cookie does not track you across sites and is not accessible to JavaScript. No analytics cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party tracking scripts are loaded.
Data Retention
Scan history is retained according to your subscription tier (last 50 scans on Free, unlimited on Standard and Sponsor Track). Free tier without account: no scan history saved. Account data is retained until you delete your account.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing privacy@hire4real.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the product:
- Google OAuth — for authentication
- Stripe — for payment processing (we never see your card details)
- Supabase (PostgreSQL) — for database storage
Each of these services operates under their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@hire4real.com. We will respond within 30 days.
